Established in 2004, The Passion Ministry Bay Area was conceived during the convalescent stay of Ms. Andrea Anderson. Andrea was assigned to recover from surgery at a local convalescent home where she witnessed many of the other recovering patients alone and isolated. Her friend, Larry Ambriz, who had come to visit her, also noticed that the need was great to reach out and lend support to those who were alone. Out of that experience grew The Passion Ministry Bay Area, which currently operates with a growing staff.

Larry Ambriz serves as the ministry's Executive Director.

"Jesus teaches us to love others and to put the importance of our needs behind us. I give God thanks daily for all to which he has opened my eyes and heart. This kind of love has immeasurable effects, not only on the lives of others, but also on our own. His love is truly precious."

Andrea Anderson serves as the Chief Administrator and Volunteer Coordinator.

"God has a purpose for each and every one of us. When I was sent to Skyline Health Care Center for two weeks of rehabilitation I had no idea what was about to happen. This was to become the birthing of our ministry to convalescent and nursing homes around the San Francisco Bay Area. When my friends came to visit me they immediately saw the great need the residents had every day of their lives. "

"Our ministry is called to bring, joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, benevolence, empathy, generosity, compassion, and prayer to the residents of these homes. It is inspiring and always rewarding to be involved in these endeavors."
